Well summer is coming upon us and from the weather reports many of you are seeing the hot temperatures again. Speaking of summer.....(don't you like the way I just rolled into that!) the Old Farmhouse Gathering Team is having their Summer Celebration! It starts Monday the 18th and there will be some really neat goodies from this talented team. Looks like the Old Farmhouse Gathering Team is having another celebration. :)  This one doesn't have a theme like most of them do. We are calling it.....Anything Goes....and you can find it right here. Or if you want to search Etsy for it just type in ATG2OFG in the search bar. Starts today and goes through July 6th. I wasn't able to participate in this one as I am busy, busy, busy with the local summer market circuit, but I wanted to share the celebration with you. :)

LET THE SHOPPING BEGIN!!......

I hope everyone's weekend was good. We finished our first of several outdoor projects for the summer this weekend. We built another storage shed. Funny how it seems that you can never have enough storage area. :)

I have a busy week this week getting everything finished up for the start of the summer market season and getting ready for all the shoppers visiting our market. Speaking of shopping (like how I just played right into that :))......the Old Farmhouse Gathering Team's Summer Celebration has officially started. It will run from May 19th through June 1st. SPRING CELEBRATION!!

Come see all the wonderful goodies this great team has put together. They are some of the most talented people around! DID YOU KNOW???

Did you know that those twist ties on your bread actually mean something? I didn't until my daughter told me about them. When you go to buy bread in the grocery store, have you ever wondered which is the freshest, so you 'squeeze' for freshness or softness? Did you know that bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week? Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each day has a different color twist tie.

They are:

Monday = Blue
Tuesday = Green
Thursday = Red
Friday = White
Saturday = Yellow

So if today was Thursday, you would want red twist tie; not white which is Fridays (almost a week old)! The colors go alphabetically by color Blue- Green - Red - White - Yellow, Monday through Saturday. Very easy to remember. I thought this was interesting. I looked in the grocery store and the bread wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the ones with the plastic clips have different colors. These can be used for all different projects around the house.

You learn something new everyday! So enjoy fresh bread when you buy bread with the right color on the day you are shopping. :)
