Look At What I Won!

I am so excited I just had to share with you what showed up in the mail yesterday!

My good blog friend Barb over at Mountain Quiltworks had a giveaway for these charm packs and guess who won.....yep ME!!! I told her I never win anything, but then remembered I did one time from another blog friend Barb (yep two Barb's) at Barb's HeartStrokes. 

There was a surprise in the box too!!! She sent me one of her hot packs to keep my toes warm in the cold winter months up here in the north country. How sweet of her! You can find these in her shop on Etsy.

Well all the holiday festivities are over and we are all settling down into the long winter, so I thought....hey......let's have a giveaway!! Now is the time to have your house decorated in a winter theme and what better winter décor than.....snowmen!!

So....I am going to giveaway this candle mat/mug rug with cute little snowmen in the middle, snowflakes on the sides and some winter scene fabrics. 

These mats can be used for putting your candles on them or that cup of hot chocolate. Or use however you would like. :)

WHERE DOES THE TIME GO!!!

Holy Moly....where does the time go!! I can't believe it has been a couple of weeks since my last posting!! Time is just going by so fast. Summers are always so busy for us. I went down to the lower 48 for a family reunion and then we went camping for a week and before I knew it July is almost over!!

How has your summer been going? Have you been doing anything fun? I have been busy with our local summer markets. Actually they have been very good this year. Have been doing well with the sales and have been having fun meeting and visiting with all the visitors to our area. The weather has been just fantastic. Normally we are cold and rainy here most of the summer, but this summer has been unbelievable. We are breaking all kinds of heat (well heat for us) records. We normally have about 5 days in the 70's all summer long and so far this summer we have had 15 days! The skies have been blue and pretty. I keep telling my hubby that if all the summers were like this one I could stand living here. :) It has been a joy.

So....since I haven't been around much and since July is a big Americana month I thought it would be time for a give away! So in honor of the month of July, and being patriotic, I am going to giveaway this Americana bundle of fat quarters. I picked them up at our local fabric store while I was there getting MORE FABRIC!! Yippee.....love getting more fabric! There are five of them and they are 100% cotton. They would be great for all of you Americana crafters. :)

BIG DAY!!

Well yesterday was a big day for me. I actually moved into the 21st century! When I was younger I was pretty computer savvy, but with technology today I am just behind the times. It is all so far over my head and goes by me so fast. Well yesterday I got my first smartphone!

I had a texting cell phone and could text pretty fast and take pictures, but this new phone is well....all I can say is..................HELP!! I can't seem to hit the right keys when texting with barely having to tap the screen and have to keep going back and making corrections and trying to figure everything out and read about it makes my head hurt. My kids are helping me by telling me "calm down" it will get better. :) 

I should be working on getting my blog posting done for my first ever "giveaway" that will be starting this Friday. I am doing a blog hop party with giveaway on this site right  here  . I going to be giving away a packet of fabric so come join me on Friday. I will let you know when it is live.  I am so excited about finally getting my act together and doing giveaway's. I am hoping to do many, many more of them. :)
