Well I finally got the four bags that I have been working on for the last couple of weeks done. Doesn’t it always happen that when you are the busiest someone wants a custom order, which of course is wonderful! I always feel blessed when I get a custom order. This person saw one of my bags that I have for sale at my summer market and ordered three bags in that design in three different sizes; small, medium and large and one of my messenger bags. She wanted a matching set. I must say the large one was a treat to do. Guess how many squares I had to cut…..that’s right….349!! I was pretty buggy eyed after that. And you know what my sewing room was like when I was done. I do have a tendency to throw everything on the floor. J
What is the hard part is reconfiguring the pattern to fit the dimensions she wanted. I like to do it on scratch paper and doodle it all up.

Now that these are done I can get back to resupplying my stock for the summer markets. Seems I just keep selling and have a hard time getting the stock back up. Oh my….what a dilemma to have right. J  Here is a picture of two of the bags. This is the small one and the messenger bag.
So what are you working on this week? Anyone done any shows this summer yet? If so, how did they go?

I posted another summer salad recipe for you. This one is  good for on the go. Just make it the day before.

Well off to the fabric store to get more fabric………….love those shopping days!! J

  3. I'm so glad everyone is doing well.. I haven't sold much at all this year.. can't figure out why.. anyway I'm starting something new on Spoonflower. and if you'd like to visit my latest blog about what I'm doing on spoonflower..
    I'd love a critique!

  4. G'day Colleen. Hi. Nice to meet you. Have just joined your blog and a great one it is too. I love the bags. Well done. The tips about putting things around the garden made me smile. I have some of those things you mentioned. Take care. Liz...
