Spring Sewing

I know there is quite a bit of winter left especially for us in the northern world, but I always like to think Spring. I have about three months left until I have Spring, but there are some of you that it is right around the corner. If you are one of those and getting ready to do some "Spring sewing" or if you are like me and do "Spring sewing" to lift your spirits, I have just added some new Spring fabrics to my Etsy shop that I wanted to show you. :)

I love Susan Winget fabric! She designs such beautiful fabric. This is one of her Easter fabrics.

These beautiful springs birds are another one of her fabrics.

This is more summertime, but look at the design on this fabric! I love the lemonade pitchers. I thought this fabric would make great placemats for a picnic table. :)

I really like this fabric. Look at all the cute bugs all over this one. This one if from Hi-Fashion fabrics. I think it is just so cute. :)

Let's Bake Again

So has everyone recovered from the holiday baking? I thought you might have had enough time to rest from all the baking that now you can start to bake again. LOL! :)

This recipe has got to be the ultimate chocolate lovers dream recipe! It has everything I can just drool over! LOL!

What you will need:

* Refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough

* Package of Oreos

* Box of brownie mix
      (Amounts may vary per box of brownies)

How to make it:

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

2. Spray 9"x 9" cooking dish with non-stick spray

3. Press cookie dough into bottom of dish

4. Line cookie dough with Oreos

5. Prepare brownie mix per directions on the box

6. Pour brownie batter over Oreo layer

7. Bake for 50 minutes

Soooooo......after I take off all the pounds I put on during the holidays I might give this recipe a shot. LOL!

Have a good week!

New Year Is Here

Whew......finally got through all the holiday festivities. Hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season. So I am starting on my to-do list of things I want to get done this winter. We got one done yesterday. My poor sewing room had about 8 years of fiber dust all over the walls and it was just terrible in there so my hubby helped me by getting his compressor out and blew the walls all down and then put his big shop air filter in there and sucked all the dust up. Now it is just soooooo clean! :)

I took a look at my ironing board and the cover is really bad so I thought I really need to do something with it. Now the other day on my Facebook there was this posting about making a new iron board cover. I wonder how I get some of these postings??? Anyway I thought you might like to see it also. I may give it a try. SaraphymHandmade has the tutorial. Looks like you can get it as a PDF or on Craftsy. I did the PDF and it was fine. to do some more of my to-do list. :)

Happy sewing!

Colleen :)
