This was two years ago in February when we had record snowfall. We had over six feet of snow on the ground!
And here we are today with no snow on the ground! I just love it. This is a young moose in our backyard. It is so easier for the moose to get around with no snow. Two years ago there was so much snow that the young one's couldn't get around to eat so they were walking on the roads and parking lots and starving. It was terrible. :(
So as you can see......we are enjoying the mild winter very much. I do feel for you all that are buried because I have been there many years and it is not fun. Hang in there....spring is just around the corner!
Have a great weekend!
Hi Coleen! It is nice too see you are getting a break from the snow this Winter! The weather sure has been crazy...... we were mild up until February hit then its been record cold. Enjoy! Can't wait for Spring!
ReplyDeleteMy sister in AK is enjoying it too. Glad you have a nice break.
ReplyDeleteI guess I forgot that you lived in Alaska! You deserve the break!!

Kinda scary how the weather patterns are changing everywhere! We are low on snow, too, although the high mountains are at 100% of normal. Great for us valley dwellers :) Enjoy your dry winter.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a great winter here out west hasn't it? The robins showed up here earlier this week and most of our snow is gone. Think we had more than you did this year but it was still nothing compared to the poor folks back east.
